MSC 648 - Marine Benthic Habitat Mapping Techniques Units: 4 The collection and interpretation of geophysical data that can be used to characterize marine benthic habitats. Techniques used to identify and characterize marine benthic habitats, including echosounders, multibeam bathymetry and backscatter, sidescan sonar, seismic profiling, and GIS will be reviewed.
Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing and MSC 441. Equivalent Quarter Course: MSC 6248. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only.
