MUS 353 - East Bay Wind Symphony Units: 1 Major performance ensemble in the tradition of band and wind ensemble. Music activities are open to qualified students by audition. Music majors are required to enroll in one major performance group each semester of study. Field trips may be required.
Prerequisites: Department consent. Equivalent Quarter Course: MUS 3511. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 8 units. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Engage in a rigorous course study culminating in the performance of diverse and high-quality repertoire for wind ensembles.
- Attend all rehearsals and performances.
- Prepare your music thoroughly before each rehearsal.
- Be engaged throughout the rehearsal.
- Constantly challenge yourself to improve as a musician and ensemble member.
