SLHS 608 - Research Methods and Evidence-based Practice Units: 2 This course focuses on research methods in communicative disorders in order to train students to be active consumers and producers of research. Emphasis on integration of research and clinical practice through execution of a single-case research study.
Prerequisites: Admission to M.S. Speech-Language Pathology program. Equivalent Quarter Course: SPPA 6000. Possible Instructional Methods: Hybrid Only. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Evaluate and apply clinical research, recognizing the need for evidence to support best practices in clinical service delivery.

- Recognize and respect the limits of their professional preparation and clinical skills, and work effectively with other professionals.
