REC 320 - Aquatic Management Units: 3 Unique aspects of aquatic program management, including risk management, legal issues, appropriate training techniques, program planning, staffing, facility design and supervising aquatic environments.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: HOS 100 and REC 100. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Analyze risk management and legal issues in aquatic environments.
- Examine effective management strategies for hiring, supervision, training and team building for aquatic personnel.
- Investigate best practices for budgeting, financial management and operation of aquatic facilities.
- Discuss aspects of a comprehensive aquatic maintenance plan, including water chemistry, filtration, sanitation and operating standards.
