MUS 361 - Chamber Wind Ensemble


Units: 1
Ensemble focused on performing repertoire for small combinations of wind and brass instruments. Chamber ensembles are open to all qualified students (determined by audition). Field trips may be required.

Equivalent Quarter Course: MUS 3531.
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 4 units.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Perform music for small ensembles composed primarily of wind and brass instruments.
  2. Become familiar, through performance, with excellent compositions for chamber ensemble combinations.
  3. Perform independently and with excellent musicianship within a larger group of musicians.
  4. Perform music by a variety of diverse composers.
