FIN 670 - New Venture Financing Units: 3 Unique features of entrepreneurial finance. Emphasis will be on examining the characteristics, structure, and valuation of ventures. Various aspects of the venture capital industry are addressed.
Prerequisites: FIN 605. Equivalent Quarter Course: FIN 6305. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify the unique structure of venture capital industry.
- Compare and contrast different forms of financing available to entrepreneurs.
- Explain the unique risks involved in venture financing and the structure of the contracts.
- Apply the real-option approach to valuation.
- Calculate the value of the venture.
- Examine different options of exiting from the venture.
