Theories, principles of group dynamics and processes facilitating individual, small group, and organizational change. Interpersonal skills in group process. Clinical analysis of actual group experiences.

Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

To increase group counseling theory and practice knowledge, skills and abilities.
To learn the stages of group development, techniques, and dynamics for group facilitation.
To create and deliver a structured group intervention for a specialize population and receive support and feedback from class members.
Practice effective group planning principles and techniques and group leadership skills in multiple group settings including class work groups, MFT/LPCC training groups at community agencies.
To participate in group experiences which apply to course learning.
Creating and facilitating a therapeutic group workshop.
Integrating counseling theory techniques and skills to practice.
Becoming proficient in group dynamics.
Self-reflection of the group process.
Addressing common problems and patterns of problematic interactions clients bring to group therapy.
Applying an equity, diversity, and social justice model of systemic service delivery.
