GEOL 671 - Field Experience Units: 1-2 Applied field based inquiry activities that provide students with opportunities to acquire and practice professional and technical field skills. Students spend extended periods in a natural, outdoor laboratory setting working closely with peers and instructor.
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 6 units when content varies. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Cross-listed: ENSC 671 Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Critically evaluate topographic features and landforms using geologic tools and methods.
- Characterize field site according to industry standards.
- Apply standard industry practices and professional skills in the collection of field data.
- Compile and construct a synthesis based on field observations, data, and analysis.
