HIST 697 - Issues in History

Readings, discussion, and research on contemporary and/or significant issues in history.

Equivalent Quarter Course: HIST 6999.
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 8 units when content varies.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Develop advanced knowledge in a specified topic or issue in historical study.
  2. Analyze historical argument, and the evolution of historical literature on the topic in question.
  3. Identify the role of historiography in shaping our understanding of a historical era or topic.
  4. Produce advanced and original analysis or project on the topic based on individual research and analysis of secondary literature, and observe the standards of academic integrity.
  5. Identify and orally present original analysis on the topic.
