HIST 641 - Graduate Internship Units: 4 Supervised field work in non-academic settings, such as museums, libraries, archives, private business and government agencies, or historical preservation programs.
Prerequisites: Department consent. Equivalent Quarter Course: HIST 6901. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Students will gain professional experience applying the skills of historical research and/or public history.
- Students will work collaboratively with an external organization or internally as part of a non-course related historical project.
- Students will negotiate work contract to elucidate the work to be done in a specific time frame.
- Students will evaluate the skills applied as part of this internship project in written form.
