FIN 382 - Real Estate Practice

Responsibilities of real estate sales and brokerage practices, the selling and buying processes of real property from listing to closing escrow, the purpose and importance of title. Ethical responsibilities of owning and operating a real estate business.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Identify the importance of support provided to real estate professionals by real estate associations.
  2. Identify the daily responsibilities of real estate sales and brokerage practices. Explain the selling and buying processes of real property.
  3. Explain the handling of a real estate transaction from listing to closing escrow, purpose and importance of title.
  4. Apply the process of qualifying listings and prospects, advertising, financing, closing the sale, and expediting the escrow.
  5. Examine the ethical responsibilities of owning and operating a real estate business, managing salespeople and office personnel, budgeting, and developing and maintaining effective community relation.
