MGMT 404 - Staffing and Talent Management

Processes organizations typically follow to recruit and retain employees.  Reviews key concepts and current practices for strategic human capital planning, such as staffing and recruitment; performance management; succession planning; and retention.

Prerequisites: Junior or senior or post-baccalaureate standing.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MGMT 3616.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Analyze strategic staffing and talent acquisition practices.
  2. Evaluate performance management and talent review systems that accurately assess employee performance.
  3. Evaluate training methods to foster learning in a multi-cultural multi-generational workforce.
  4. Analyze methods for succession planning and best practices for talent retention.
