MGMT 656 - Quality and Lean Management Units: 3 Quality and lean management, which are integral parts of modern business process development and improvement. Course topics include total quality management, six-sigma quality, lean management processes and tools, reliability management, statistical quality control, and ISO standards.
Prerequisites: MGMT 608. Equivalent Quarter Course: MGMT 6526. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Develop an appreciation of quality management theory, principles, and practices.
- Apply quality and lean principles, strategy, and applications in managing operations and supply chain.
- Develop extensive skills in utilizing quantitative and qualitative methods and tools of quality and lean management to solve business and management problems.
- Identify and apply quality control models to improve quality and increase operational efficiency.
