ENGR 215 - Computational Methods in Engineering Units: 3 Computational algorithms used in solving engineering problems. Use of computer tools for solving a system of equations, matrix manipulations, numerical integration and differentiation, optimization, and simulation for engineering applications. Lecture Units: 2; Lab Units: 1.
Prerequisites: MATH 131. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Apply computational techniques to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
- Use computer software and tools to utilize computational methodologies learned in the class.
- Evaluate techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
