CMPE 493 - Senior Capstone: Senior Design II


Units: 3
Technical development and completion of a capstone design project. Continuous feedback from project clients, teammates, and instructor. Introduction to Scrummethodology. Mock U.S. Patent application, and completion of a technical journal article. Satisfies the capstone requirement.

Prerequisites: CMPE 492.
Co-requisites: CMPE 480.
Equivalent Quarter Course: CMPE 4620.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Successfully complete a major capstone design project satisfying requirements of project clients;
  2. Disseminate project results through a technical journal article, mock U.S. patent application, and oral presentation in front of project clients;
  3. Experience working with project clients and team members;
  4. Understanding of the broad societal and ethical impacts of a project;
  5. Develop teamwork skills for project implementation and completion.
