CMGT 345 - Building Codes and Commissioning Units: 3 Building Codes for structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Building safety and accessibility. Energy efficiency (Title 24) and commissioning.
Prerequisites: CMGT 207. Equivalent Quarter Course: CMGT 3450. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Understand the different types of occupancies and buildings;
- Identify the most relevant elements of fire safety, means of egress and accessibility, and energy efficiency provisions established by the building code and energy efficiency regulations (Title 24);

3. Identify code non-compliances and propose code approved solutions;
4. Understand the commissioning process, including the personnel and documentation requirements.
