TED 541 - Mathematics III: Instructional Methods in a Single Subject Classroom


Units: 3
Introduction to theory and practice of instructional methodology in a single subject classroom. Separate courses for art, Chinese, dance, English, French, Hindi, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies, Spanish and theater.

Prerequisites: Admission to Single Subject Credential Program.
Equivalent Quarter Course: TED 5392 and TED 5393 (Prior to 2016-17), TED 5456 and TED 5457 (2016-17 and 2017-18).
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Apply their knowledge of content literacy in the classroom.
  2. Use instructional technology appropriate to their content area.
  3. Work collaboratively with colleagues in a school setting.
  4. Adapt curriculum as necessitated by the learning demands of their students.
