TED 612 - Research Design in Education


Units: 4
Writing a research proposal.  Methods and procedures of research in Education; sources and use of data, permissions, and protocols. 

Prerequisites: TED 600, TED 601.
Co-requisites: TED 602.
Equivalent Quarter Course: TED 6020.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Learn the characteristics of different research designs, including quantitative and qualitative.
  2. Identify methods for analyzing research data.
  3. Plan a study with an appropriate research design and obtain on-campus IRB approval.
  4. Write a research or project proposal.
