EDUI 699 - Department Thesis


Units: 4
Identify an essential educational technology topic. Evaluate and investigate its impact and significance. Conduct literature review. Design research methods. Collect and analyze data. Report the findings and implications..

Prerequisites: Department consent.
Equivalent Quarter Course: EDUI 6909.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: ABC/NC grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Apply major research steps including identifying a topic, reviewing and examining relevant literature, collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing research data to write a thesis individually or collaboratively (PLO 4 and; 5; ILO 1, 2, and; 4).
  2. Present and communicate their thesis ideas and results to the faculty members and diverse student body in the program. (PLO 5; ILO 2 and; 5).
  3. Use technology tools, such as MS Word bibliography, Endnotes, citation machine, and so on to cite sources critically and in appropriate APA style. (PLO 1, 4, and; 5; ILO 1 and; 3)
