MGMT 602 - Business Analytics for Managers


Units: 3
Applying business analytics techniques to leverage data in business decision making. Course emphasizes formulating models to address real world problems, implementing models in spreadsheet environment and interpreting modeling results. Topics include descriptive, predictive and perspective analytics. Formerly BUS 602.

Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MGMT 6015.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Understand tools and techniques used in business analytics.
  2. Apply business analytics to formulate decision models and implement the models in spreadsheet software.
  3. Interpret results and develop recommendations that support managerial decision making.
  4. Analyze problems from various industries and functional areas using business analytics.
