TED 301 - Introduction to Education

Exploration of current issues in education through structured observations in T-K through high school classroom.  Satisfies 15 hours documented pre-professional work in public schools. Field Component.

Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Synthesize their  knowledge of form and function of public school classrooms through observation of local classrooms.
  2. Understand and identify  components of classroom instruction including environment, planning, delivery, student response, assessment and integration.
  3. Identify current issues in education and the implications for students and teachers.
  4. Document classroom experiences that identify the practices of public school teachers.
