REC 430 - Youth Development: Current Issues for Youth 5-17

Current issues in development for youth aged 5-17. Solutions and approaches for recreation professionals that address those issues. Analyze trends in youth development throughout different time periods.

Prerequisites: REC 230.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Identify current issues in youth development.
  2. Analyze the trends that have occurred in youth development throughout different time periods.
  3. Design solutions for a specific issue addressing youth today.
