TED 540 - Mathematics II: Instructional Methods in a Single Subject Classroom


Units: 3
Intermediate course in the practice of instructional methodology in a single subject classroom with a focus on planning and delivery of mathematical methods instruction to diverse learners.

Prerequisites: Admission to Single Subject Credential Program.
Equivalent Quarter Course: TED 5391 and TED 5392 (Prior to 2016-17), TED 5455 and TED 5456 (2016-17 and 2017-18).
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Develop assessments appropriate to their content area, students, and in line with state standards and frameworks.
  2. Integrate appropriate academic language use into lessons for their students.
  3. Teach to students with all levels of English proficiency.
  4. Teach to students with special needs.
