Musical styles, forms and performance practice from 1750 to the early 19th century with detailed analyses of representative works and close reading of historical writings.

Prerequisites: M.A. Music major.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MUS 6125.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
