MM 665 - Experiments in Interactivity


Units: 3
This course has a different topic or theme each semester and can be repeated, subject to advisor approval. Experimental studio course in application of technology to interactive experience design. Explores concepts of structure, aesthetics, and content of interactive experience design.

Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 12 units.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Explain HCI, HCD and Design Thinking theories, practice and a set of design approaches.
  2. Demonstrate critical and analytical thinking about of Interactivity and Interaction Design .
  3. Critique and improve poor interactive and interaction design.
  4. Create compelling interactive experiences and explain the rationale used and decisions taken.
  5. Demonstrate awareness of new application areas and up-and-coming advanced technologies in order to better understand the potential of new technologies and techniques in the design of future interactive systems and applications.
