KIN 609 - Synthesis in Kinesiology

Applying Kinesiology knowledge and perspectives to complete a research project, major literature review, internship, community service project, or University thesis. Developed in consultation with graduate adviser, must include considerable background information search, documentation and reporting of outcomes and conclusions.

Strongly Recommended Preparation: At least 4 other graduate courses in KIN.
Prerequisites: KIN 601.
Credit Restrictions: KIN Post-Baccaluareate only.
Equivalent Quarter Course: KIN 6710.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Evaluate essential theories, scientific applications, and ethical considerations in Kinesiology.
Interpret and apply research study results to a variety of disciplines within Kinesiology.
Develop research questions using theoretical and applied knowledge.
Analyze issues in Kinesiology through the application of knowledge and research.
