CMGT 101 - Introduction to Construction Management Units: 3 Introduction to construction methods, materials, practices, contracts, codes, laws and trends. Also a study of professional ethics, management techniques and interaction with professional organizations and associations related to construction.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify various sectors of the construction industry, and the stakeholders, processes, and documentation involved in completing a construction project;
- Master the terminology of the construction industry and be conversant with the definitions applied by the industry to the practice of design and construction;
- Have an understanding of the career opportunities in construction and construction-related industries;
- Identify construction associations, trade publications and web resources and recognize and appreciate the importance of ethical practice in the industry.
