STAT 672 - Advanced Multivariate Statistics Units: 2 Advanced, computer-based applications of multivariate analysis. Topics may include ANOVA, canonical correlation, principal components, discriminant functions, factor/cluster/spatial analysis. Emphasis on actual data, report writing.
Prerequisites: STAT 631, and either STAT 650 or STAT 660. Equivalent Quarter Course: STAT 6515. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Apply statistical methodologies, including descriptive statistics and inferential techniques.
- Program an appropriate statistical software package to produce relevant computer output.
- Interpret the results of statistical analyses appropriately.
- Communicate statistical concepts and the results of data analyses to non-statisticians.
