HDEV 459 - Contemporary Research Topics in Women’s Development


Units: 4
Examination of contemporary theories, research, issues and trends in women’s development.  

Prerequisites: Junior, senior or post-baccalaureate standing.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Identify and explain the emotional, social, and identity development involved in women’s development (SLO 1).
  2. Understand the intergroup and intragroup similarities and differences in women’s development (SLO 1,2).
  3. Identify and explain the multiple levels of development that impact women’s development (SLO1,2,3).
  4. Identify and explain the diversity within women’s development (SLO1,2,3,4).
  5. Understand the importance of context as it relates to women’s development (SLO1,2,3,4).
