ANTH 421 - Field Archaeology Units: 3 Techniques of surface survey and scientific excavation; controlled data retrieval from a variety of archaeological field situations. Aspects emphasized will depend on available opportunities.
Prerequisites: ANTH 120 or ANTH 320. Equivalent Quarter Course: ANTH 4250. Repeatability: May be repeated twice for a maximum of 9 units. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - apply basic qualitative and quantitative archaeological research methods and skills.
