MLL 442 - Introduction to Spanish American Literature: 1900 to the Present Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: C4 Socio-political, aesthetic, philosophical and literary ideas examined in contemporary Latin American literature. Prose, poetry and drama of the 20th and 21st century, including latest development in postmodernity, postcoloniality and cultural studies.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (greater than 60 earned semester units) and completion of lower division Area C requirements. Prerequisites: Completion of GE Areas A1, A2, A3 and B4 with grade C- (CR) or better; and MLL 343. Equivalent Quarter Course: MLL 3463. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
