COMM 465 - Identity and Difference in Media Units: 4 Examines the construction and deployment of identity in and through electronic media. Takes up theories of difference, such as intersectionality, disidentification, and homonormativity. Emphasizes marginality, border-crossings, transgression, and critical examinations of oppression and resistance.
Prerequisites: Department consent. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
