CS 441 - Computer Networks Units: 3 Computer network analysis and design. Fundamentals of data communications: media, transmission, encoding, error detection and handling, link control, packet switching. Network architecture and topology. Network, Transport, and Application layer protocols, services, design issues and performance. Programming assignments using TCP/IP.
Prerequisites: CS 301. Equivalent Quarter Course: CS 3590 or CS 4590. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
