The study of a selected area of oceanography. The subjects will vary depending on student demand and availability of instructors.

Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MSC 6274.
Repeatability: Course may be repeated for credit for a maximum of 8 units when topic varies.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
