Development of historical writing from antiquity to present. Emphasis on Herodotus, Thucydides, St. Augustine, Vico, Hegel, Marx, Von Ranke and his successors, relativists, and postmodernists.

Prerequisites: HIST 201 and HIST 301.
Equivalent Quarter Course: HIST 4030.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
