Communication Minor

Minor Requirements (44 units)

The Communication minor offers the student majoring in another discipline the opportunity to study and practice an integrated approach to communications in the 21st century. Students considering careers in law, business, health-care, and criminal justice will benefit from this minor. The Communication Minor consists of 44 units.

COMM 3005 - Qualitative Communication Research Methods Units: 4
COMM 4300 - Intercultural & International Communication Units: 4
or
COMM 4500 - Gender Identity and Representation in Media Units: 4
COMM 4205 - Ethics and Law in Communication Units: 4

Required Elective Courses (20 units)

20 units selected in consultation with advisor from either the Professional Public and Organizational Communication Option or the Media Production Option, including appropriate senior project: COMM 4885 or COMM 4890 .
