Advanced camera and digital darkroom techniques, including preparing images for the web and large format printing. Photography as a visual language, photographic color theory, and the aesthetics of photographic images.

Prerequisites: ART 101.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Understanding web and print resolution and the use of scanners to digitize images;
Understanding and being proficient in color profiles, monitor calibration and color correction;
Print on different materials and make large-scale images;
Use digital imaging software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom and use professional imaging workflows;
Create photomontages and conceptual based image production;
Demonstrate a knowledge of color theory and composition and their use in photographic imagery;
Have an advanced understanding of camera functions and uses;
Understand and use photography as a form of visual communication;
Understand photographic aesthetics both current and historical.
